January 2023
Dear District G Residents,
Happy New Year to our District G residents! I wish you good health and prosperity this year and beyond.
There is a lot in store for Clark County in 2023. The Board of County Commissioners will be continuing our hard work addressing important issues like homelessness, community issues, water issues and the like. We expect the convention and trade industry to get back to pre-pandemic levels which is so important to growing our economy. After a complete stop in 2021 and a return in 2022, the 2023 Consumer and Electronics show ("CES") in early January is expected to attract over 100,000 in-person attendees! In November of 2023, the first Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix race will be held on the world famous Las Vegas Strip! We have a lot of work to do to prepare for this spectacular event for our County, and we look forward to welcoming fans and visitors from around the world.
Our County Commission meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday and Wednesday of each month beginning at 9:00am. You can watch the meetings on the Clark County YouTube channel or Cox Cable Channel 4.
As always, do not hesitate to email me at DistrictG@ClarkCountyNV.gov or call my office at (702) 455-3500 with any questions or concerns you may have. You can also follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

I had the pleasure of serving a special holiday lunch to the residents of Lubertha Johnson Estates and Dorothy Kidd Mobile Home Park. Along with their meal, they enjoyed classic Christmas carols courtesy of Vegas Voices. The holiday meals, provided by At Your Service catering, were delicious and the residents were raving. Special thanks to Doreen Guerra, Senior Services Program Coordinator at the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority, for reaching out to my office with her request.

Exciting news for Southern Nevada! The City of Henderson has plans to develop a nationally recognized, state-of-the-art, multi-use, indoor community sports facility on the site of the former Fiesta Henderson. This will be a great addition for our community with year-round sporting activities, restaurants and shopping. The site will be developed with two goals in mind: more value-based amenities for our residents and additional economic opportunities for our community. This project will enhance the revitalization of the eastside of Henderson with expected completion by mid-2023.
