Summer is right around the corner and I hope you and your families are enjoying the beautiful weather here in the Las Vegas Valley. Mark your calendars for some fun activities that are coming up at the various recreation centers throughout the district. There's something for everyone, so please join us when you can.
We also want to remind you that our Parks Department is hiring for lifeguards and other aquatic positions for the summer.

Tacos with Tick was held at Parkdale's Senior Center. We had great discussion and enjoyed delicious tacos. Thank you Tamera and Alex for inviting the Commissioner to speak with the seniors of Parkdale.
Commissioner Segerblom would like to thank everyone who came out to Hollywood Recreation Center's Bunny Bash at Family Lewis Park. There were a lot of happy kids with lots of candy. Thank you to the staff at Hollywood Recreation Center....Matt, Tiffany, Melanie and Marilyn for making this event possible.
Commissioner Segerblom sponsored and participated in Parkdale's Bunny Hop event. There was a great Easter egg hunt and great performers. Thank you to Alex, Kara and Jerry for putting this great event together.
We are moving at an incredible speed at Hollywood Regional Park. The project is already 35.5% complete, with most of the grading done. Within the last few week light for the four soccer fields had popped up! Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.
On April 15, 2022, Commissioner Segerblom and Commissioner Gibson hosted a spring job fair. What an awesome turnout!! Over 6,000 job-seekers were in attendance, and over 500 people were hired on the spot. The event was a great success. A big thank you to everyone who assisted with the event.
Performances begin around 6:30 p.m. Seating space is limited to first come first served based on availability occupancy. Most importantly, admission and parking are FREE. Tickets are required for entry and will be available online. For more information about his concert series click here.
Vehicles and Equipment can be previewed by the public on May 13th and May 14th.
On Monday, May 9, Clark County and participating government agencies will host a series of surplus auctions online for vehicles, equipment and miscellaneous items on TNT Auction's website at www.tntauction.com. All bidding for the auctions will take place online.
Online bidding for Harry Reid International Airport lost and found items will be held May 9 through May 13. Online bidding for vehicles and equipment auction opens May 12 and closes May 16. Online bidding for miscellaneous items, including computers and office equipment opens May 12 and closes May 17. Catalogs listing hundreds of items to be sold will be available for review on TNT's website and is regularly updated as the date grows closer. Information regarding registering as a bidder and the terms and conditions for participating is also available on the website.
