MAY 2022
The Silverado Ranch Dog Park has been undergoing renovations, and now, the grand re-opening event is in sight. On Saturday, May 21, visitors of the park can stop by—and bring their dogs—to enjoy the new space.
As part of the grand re-opening, what the Commissioner is deeming a "renovation celebration", people visiting the park can expect an array of exciting amenities: coffee and pastry food trucks, our LVMPD K-9 team, local pet supply stores, and a dog adoption sponsored by The Animal Foundation.
The Silverado Ranch Dog Park renovation project was generously donated by a member of the local community. We are proud to reopen this park—with its fresh grass, picnic tables, and shade structures for everyone to enjoy.

NFL Draft Weekend in Vegas: How We're Becoming the "Greatest Arena on Earth"
NFL Draft weekend in Las Vegas was a roaring success. An estimated 300,000 people took to the NFL Draft Experience and Theater on the Strip and participated in the variety of festivities that were offered, including Vegas headlining performances, a concert series, and autographs from Las Vegas Raiders players. Commissioner Naft toured the security command and back of house operations. There are thousands of individuals who help make a national event of this magnitude happen, including members of IATSE 702, Culinary 226, Clark County Public Works, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and so many more. NFL Draft weekend helped solidify Vegas' place as the "Greatest Arena on Earth." Las Vegas is now the only destination in the world to be awarded all three marquee NFL events at once: the Pro Bowl, the NFL Draft, and the Super Bowl in 2024.
