Evacuations begin for Camino de Cañon in Cundiyó
SANTA FE, N.M., Aug. 10, 2026—Due to increased activity on the Frijoles Fire, the individuals on Camino de Cañon Street in Cundiyo are placed in GO status. GO status means leave now with your emergency supply kit. Residents should evacuate immediately. For those who need it, an evacuation shelter will be established at the Pojoaque Valley Middle School gym at 1797 State Road 502.
Emergency notifications are being shared through the County’s official emergency alert system, Alert Santa Fe. Sign up to ensure you receive timely emergency alerts.
The remainder of Cundiyó remains in READY status.
Ready status means you should have a personal wildfire action plan and emergency go-bag prepared. Your go-bag should contain a three-day supply of items you would need to safely evacuate your home, which may include medications, water, food, pet food, infant formula, diapers, cash or traveler’s checks, and toiletries.
