Santa Fe, NM – The First Judicial District Attorney’s Office, located at 327 Sandoval St., Santa Fe, NM 87501, will reopen on November 20, 2024, following the detection of a gas leak on November 12. After comprehensive repairs and inspection, the building is deemed safe for staff and public reentry.  

In response to the gas leak, Santa Fe County issued a declaration of procurement emergency, expediting the process to bring a contractor, on-site. Repair work was a priority, and the contractor worked into the weekend to complete necessary repairs. Inspection of the repairs was completed today, and the office is expected to resume normal operations on November 20 at 8:00am.  

Santa Fe County collaborated closely with New Mexico Gas to address the issue as efficiently as possible and ensure a safe environment for the public and employees. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused to the public and to First Judicial District Attorney staff.
