The Homeless Coordinating Council (HCC), with representatives from the City of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, the University of New Mexico, neighborhood advocates, and service providers, seeks public feedback on its recently released community-wide framework on homelessness.
Since August, the HCC committees have worked collaboratively to identify gaps, needs, and high impact strategies within these core focus areas: services, facilities, street outreach, affordable housing, and youth housing. View the comprehensive report here.
Public feedback is now critical for this ambitious work to address homelessness issues effectively. Maintaining HCC's progress requires additional citizen, neighborhood, and community engagement. The HCC requests that you take the time to read the report and give your feedback on the findings. Complete the short survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KX9W8HL.
“The Council went to work right away to develop strategies that are practical, yet ambitious, for us to implement,” said Carol Pierce, Director of Family and Community Services. “It’s important that we continue to work collaboratively as we address the many issues associated with experiencing homelessness and that includes hearing from our community.”
