Mozzarella Making - A Farm to Table Program

Learn how milk ventures from the farm to your table and get hands- on experience making homemade mozzarella! This engaging workshop is open to youth in grades 5-13. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited to the first 25 participants-first come, first served. Once the maximum is reached, a waitlist will begin.
The cost is $20 per participant, and registration is due by November 5th. Don't miss out on this fun and educational opportunity!

Building a Better YOU!: Registration Due Friday, November 7

Ted Blum Somerset County 4-H Center, 310 Milltown Rd, Bridgewater, NJ
This engaging and interactive program is open to youth in grades 8 through 13 and focuses on developing essential life and career skills, including team building, résumé writing, cover letter writing, public speaking, interview skills, and professionalism.
The registration fee is $10, which includes drinks and snacks. You do not need to be a 4-H member to attend. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a permission form to complete. Payment must be made by cash or check (payable to Somerset County 4-H) and either mailed or hand-delivered to the Somerset County 4-H Office at 310 Milltown Rd Bridgewater, NJ 08807 by November 7th.

Sock Drive - November 12 through December 10
Collecting NEW socks of all sizes!
Collection box is in the center lobby at the Ted Blum 4-H Center at 310 Milltown Rd from November 12- December 10. Donations will be made by the New Centre Dairy 4-H club to the Somerset County Food Bank.

4-H Gives Thanks: Sunday, November 16
Ted Blum 4-H Center, 9am-11am
We invite you to join us at our new 4-H Gives Thanks event on Sunday, November 16th from 9-11am. 4-H clubs will be hosting interactive tables to make quick hands-on, make-and-give community service activities. Each completed project will be donated to a local organization chosen by the club.
Bring your family and friends to share gratitude and service with us this fall!

4-H Science-sational Day - Air & Space: Registration due Thursday, November 20

4-H Science-sational Day is a day of interactive science workshops for children in grades K-6. Using a “Learn By Doing” approach, youth engage in hands-on activities to learn about a variety of science topics. The theme for 2025 is “Air & Space”.
The cost is $25 per 4-H member, $35 per non-4-H member. Parents/Guardians—this Dec 13 event is drop-off, so you can enjoy some holiday prep time while the children have all the fun!

Food Tent
As we prepare for the upcoming 4-H Fair, we encourage everyone to show their support for our 4-H Clubs and the 4-H Association by visiting their booths in the 4-H Fair Food Tent!
Please note that food tent tickets are valid only for the 4-H Fair year in which they are issued. We kindly remind everyone that unused food tent tickets will not be valid beyond the dated year. Thank you for your continued support!

Did You Know….
There's a shared Google Doc where 4-H leaders can sign up to be substitute leaders in case a club needs coverage for a meeting? It's also the go-to place to find available leaders if you're in a pinch. Plus, if you're open to helping out with judging or special events, you can add your name there too.
This brilliant idea came up during one of our Leaders' Mingles—from our newest leader at the time! It's a great example of how fresh perspectives can spark helpful solutions. Leaders, mark your calendars for the next 4-H Leader Mingle on January 30, 2026.
