Outstanding 4-H Applications Due: June 1st
A Somerset County Outstanding 4-Her is a youth member who has displayed extraordinary achievement in the areas of leadership, civic engagement, participation, personal growth and community service on a county, state, and national basis. This achievement is awarded to members 11th-13th grade that go above and beyond the normal club level achievements to contribute to the overall program. Applications and letters of recommendation are due June 1st, 2024.

Volunteer With 4-H at the Somerset Patriots
We are looking for volunteers to help run the 1st Base Concession Stand at TD Bank Park in Bridgewater for Somerset Patriots games this spring and summer. No experience required. Must be 16 years or older.
Dates needed: Saturday June 1st, Sunday June 23rd, and Saturday July 20th

Somerset County 4-H Trainmasters Spring Train Show: Saturday & Sunday, June 1 & 2
12pm-7pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday
Enjoy a day with the Somerset County 4-H Trainmasters. Watch as they fill our entire gymnasium with trains, dioramas and more! This wonderful event is fun for the entire family and train lovers of all ages.

Logo Design Contest
Submissions due by June 1.
Design a simple yet effective logo for the group. Think beyond the environment to embrace social sustainability in your artwork.
Social Sustainability is finding a balanced approach between the environment, economics, and ethics of sustainability to attain equilibrium in society.
Open to all 4-H members.

Dairy Careers 4-H Webinar: Tuesday, June 4
Registration is required by June 3rd to access the Zoom Link.
Join via Zoom and explore multiple Dairy Industry Careers as you engage with established professionals. Careers include professionals from American Dairy Association Northeast, Utah State University's Dairy Extension Specialist, a Dairy Nutritionist, and a Dairy Farmer! This free webinar is open to all youth grades 7th-13th. Come ready to learn and explore dairy careers you've never had the opportunity to hear about!

4-H Association Meet & Greet
4-H Parents & Leaders: Have you heard about the Somerset County 4-H Association? Please join us at the Ted Blum 4-H Center for information sessions to learn how the Somerset County 4-H Association supports the educational efforts of the Somerset County 4-H Youth Development Program. Learn what the 4-H Association can do for your children (Scholarships, etc.). Ice Cream will be provided. We hope to see you there!
Session will be held from 6:30-7pm on Fri. June 7.

50th Anniversary of the Somerset County 4-H Building: Sunday, June 9
12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
You're invited to come and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County.
Join us for food trucks, guest speakers, 4-H activities and much more! All are welcome to partake in a photo opportunity as we plan to create a human clover from an aerial point of view. Photo opportunity will start at 1:00pm.

Herdsman Applications Due July 1
A Herdsman is a Somerset County 4-H member representing ALL 4-H project areas that sleeps overnight in Fair tents to make sure ALL projects and equipment are safe and secure overnight. They also help to make everything clean and neat for the next day. Any 4-H Members interested in becoming a Herdsman, please find the applications at the link below:

The Somerset County 4-H Association welcomes both nonprofit and commercial organizations to exhibit and sell their goods and services while supporting our motto of Free Family Fun! We invite those looking to sell their homemade items, including but not limited to crafters, soaps, and candles.
