*Clean socks - singles, worn, outgrown, floppy elastics, etc. (yes, they can have holes), all sizes, for an activity at the Spring Carnival.
*Fiber Fill - opened bags, full bags, lightly used
*Catnip - Please ask your cat's permission first.
A collection box is in the lobby of the 4-H Center. Act now!

4-H Environmental Career Night Webinar: Monday, May 13
6-8 pm. Registration is required to access the Zoom.
Join via Zoom and explore multiple environmental careers as you engage with established professionals. Careers include a Conservation Police Officer; a Park Ranger and an Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent specialized in fisheries, aquaculture, and marine resource management. This free event is open to all youth grades 7th-13th. Come ready to learn and explore careers you've never had the opportunity to hear about!

Building a Better You!: Tuesday, May 21
Registration closes May 20
Building a Better You! is a workshop that provides youth participants with the opportunity to explore resume building, cover letter writing, how to dress to impress, and interview practice all while creating a positive YOU statement! There is so much to explore in this workshop so register to learn more!
This workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 21st from 6:30-8 pm at the Somerset County 4-H Center, in the large conference room. This workshop is open to all grades 8-13, you do not have to be a 4-H member to attend. .

The 4-H Volunteer Ventures Podcast examines the fun, but sometimes confusing role of the 4-H volunteer. Each episode will explore a specific aspect or challenge volunteers face ad offer best practices to improve the experience. Logo Design Contest
Submissions due by June 1.
Design a simple yet effective logo for the group. Think beyond the environment to embrace social sustainability in your artwork.
Social Sustainability is finding a balanced approach between the environment, economics, and ethics of sustainability to attain equilibrium in society.
Open to all 4-H members.

REMINDER - Fair Planning Meeting:
Tuesday, April 30
Join us on April 30th from 6:30-8:30pm to meet and mingle with experienced and new volunteers to learn how to prepare for the 4-H Fair. We encourage all 4-H volunteers, leaders, parents, and teens to attend! Light refreshments will be provided.

Get started with a copy of the 4-H sponsorship form from the 4-H website or pick up a copy at the center. We appreciate your time and efforts to help make the 4-H Fair happen!

4-H Got Talent Contest: Entries Due Friday, May 10
The 4-H Fair Entertainment Committee is celebrating “4-H Fairytale” on the Showmobile daily from 4:30-5:30pm with the “4-H Got Talent Contest”! We know there’s a lot of talent in 4-H and want to showcase it at this year’s Fair! Let us know by Friday, May 10, if you’re up to the challenge by contacting SomersetCounty4HEntertainment@gmail.com.
Then come on May 17, 7-8pm to the 4-H Center’s gym for your prearranged audition. Any 4-H’er can step up to sing, dance or perform their talent at the Fair’s daily “4-H Got Talent Contest” with a Top Three Finale on Friday, Aug 9, 5:30-6pm on the Showmobile stage.
