Presentations are in person at the Somerset County 4-H Center, and two time slots per day are being offered per day. Register via 4-HOnline, sign in here for more info.

All 4-H Scholarship Applications Due: April 1, 2024
4-H members currently in 12th grade or college may be eligible for post-secondary education scholarships. All members applying for 4-H scholarships must have all materials submitted to the 4-H office no later than April 1, 2024! More info can be found on our website.

4-H Ag-Venture Day Takes On Spring Break!: April 3-4, 2024
Register by March 29, 2024
This two-day event is full of animal science and agriculture programming for youth in grades 3rd-6th. Program includes farm tours and hands-on agriculture workshops to explore a wide variety of animal science topics and agriculture sustainability. Workshop topics include alpaca and dairy farm tours, gardening, cooking, beekeeping and much more!

The Dawn Christy Memorial Grant Program
Dawn Christy was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, 4-H member, 4-H leader, farmer and entrepreneur. Sadly, Dawn lost her battle with a very aggressive form of leukemia in June of 2023. To honor her memory and help individuals who embrace her courage, drive, and strength we have created the Dawn Christy Memorial Grant Program.
To apply, fill out the Dawn Christy Memorial Grant Program Application by May 31st. Mail or hand deliver the application to c/o Dawn Christy Memorial Grant Program, (the Somerset County 4-H Office) 310 Milltown Road Bridgewater NJ 08807.

NJ State 4-H Foods Day: April 6, 2024

NJ State 4-H Foods Day will be held on April 6 at the Ted Blum 4-H Center in Bridgewater. It will be a great day for workshops and mini competitions. Join 4-H at the Somerset Patriots
We are looking for volunteers to help run the 1st Base Concession Stand at TD Bank Park in Bridgewater for Somerset Patriots games this spring and summer. No experience required. Must be 16 years or older.
Dates needed: Sunday April 7th, Saturday May 4th, Saturday June 1st, Sunday June 23rd, and Saturday July 20th

Calling all Somerset County 4-H Members 8th grade and up. How To Fill Out a 4-H Application will be held via Zoom on April 18th from 7-8pm. Learn how to properly fill out a Somerset County 4-H application. Applications that will be discussed are, 4-H scholarship application, Outstanding 4-H member application, 4-H conferences application, 4-H congress application, and many more! Food Bank Network of Somerset County Accepting Donations
There is a large bin in the lobby of the 4-H Center where club members, parents, and leaders can drop off items. Please watch expiration dates as they cannot take expired items. This is a great community service opportunity for clubs who are looking for a project and helps out local families. Any questions, please feel free to reach out to Shailja at mathur@njaes.rutgers.edu

Please send high-quality photos of your club, members, and events to 4hyearbookphotos@gmail.com. Be sure to include group photos and action shots from the 2023 Fair to the present.
