We are deeply saddened to see the devastating impact that, Hurricane Helene has had on communities across North Carolina. Too many families are in urgent need of essential supplies. During these difficult times, we have an opportunity to come together as a county and as a nation, to support those who are struggling. Mercer County is partnering with A-1 Limousine to organize a donation drive to provide relief to those affected by this devastating storm. The collection period is short, but if you are able to support this effort by donating critical items, we ask you to do so.
Donations can be delivered to A-1 Limousine's office at 2 Emmons Dr, Princeton. We will also have collection boxes at the McDade Administration Building at 640 S. Broad St. Trenton (open during regular business hours), and at all branches of the Mercer County Library System (see locations and hours). Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, October 16. Please note that all County offices will be closed on Monday, October 14 for the state holiday.
Your contributions will directly support the ongoing recovery efforts, ensuring that families receive the necessary supplies to get through this challenging time. A-1 Limousine will transport the items via a 56-passenger bus directly to the communities in need.
We are collecting the following items:
- Water
- Baby Formula
- Diapers (Baby/Toddler/Adult)
- Individually Packaged Snacks
- Batteries
- Trash Bags
- Band Aids
- Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
- Washcloths/Towels
- Socks (All sizes/New)

Thank You for your generosity,
County Executive Dan Benson
