NJAW LEAD PIPE REPLACEMENTS
Heads up, Maplewood. New Jersey American Water (NJAW) is expediting their replacing of lead pipes throughout Maplewood in 2025; and their goal is to complete all of the necessary work within the next year. This means residents will see an increase in NJAW’s work around town, but self-identifying the material of your service lines at www.njamwaterlslr.com/inventory can help speed the process. To read more about the NJAW project, head to our dedicated web page.

Leaf Blowers - Please remember that the use of gas-powered leaf blowers is prohibited in Maplewood for any purpose: landscapers, tree-cutters, roofers, pest-control entities, residents – everyone.
Lawn Signs - Maplewood loves a good lawn sign, but remember: lawn signs are permitted only on your property. They are not permitted on the grass strip between the sidewalk and the street. Lawn signs on the grass strip will be picked up and disposed of by our team.
Bulk Garbage - Remember: bulk garbage items are only permitted at the curb the day before your scheduled bulk pick up time. Bulk garbage pick-up is coordinated through your garbage service. While the Township has two bulk drop-off days per year, DPW does not offer pick up of any bulk items at any time. More information can be found on our website.
Library Changes - The Interim Adult Services location at 129 Boyden Avenue will close to the public May 2; and starting May 5, the Hilton Branch will resume full-service operations for Adults, Teens, and Children.
