Radioactive Materials License Annual Fees
Good Morning Radioactive Materials Licensees,
New Jersey radioactive materials licenses are assessed annually at the beginning of the State’s fiscal year (FY), July 1. The FY26 fee covers the time period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. New Jersey licensees are required to make the payment within 30 days of the invoice date.
In accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:28-64.10, the Department has adjusted the fees by the previous 12-month inflation factor for the period ending May 31, 2025, calculated from the Consumer Price Index, all urban consumers, U.S. city average (CPI-U). As provided by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, the inflation factor is 2.4 percent ( https://www.bls.gov/news.release/archives/cpi_06112025.pdf). A copy of the Fee Schedule is posted on our website at agreementstate.nj.gov.
The annual fee may be paid online following instructions at https://www.nj.gov/dep/rpp/ber/online_pay.htm.
If you have not received an invoice for an active radioactive materials license by 10/17/2025, please email to AgreementState@dep.nj.gov including your Program interest (PI) number in the subject line to request a copy of the invoice.
