First Quarter Sales Tax Collections

The chart below shows a comparison of sales tax collections for the first quarter (July through Sept.) of each fiscal year. Collections have continued to recover since the low in fiscal year 2021. Despite the almost flat growth in fiscal year 2026 compared to 2025 sales and use tax collections are 1.7% over forecast biennium to date.
