Sales Tax Collections Continue to Trend Above Forecast

Sales and use tax collections continue to trend above forecast. For the month ending May 31, 2025, the collections were $236.7 million, or 11.2% ahead of forecast. The two largest sectors, retail and wholesale trade, make up on average over 58% of the revenue collections. The next closest, mining, averages just under 11% of all collections.
