Monthly North Dakota Revenue Report

2025-27 Appropriated Budget

The 2025-27 biennium appropriated budget from all funding sources is $20.26 billion. However, only 31%, or $6.26 billion, is from the state General Fund. Federal Funds and state Special Funds make up 69%, or $14.00 billion of the total. Much of the growth in the 2025-27 biennium budget was from non-General Fund sources. Non-General Fund sources have growth due to one-time investments, including $1.43 billion appropriated from the Strategic Investment and Improvements Fund.
