 Colleagues,
As part of ongoing efforts to manage rising costs this fiscal year, we are implementing a temporary hiring freeze effective immediately through June 30, 2026.
Hiring Freeze Details
- This applies to positions funded through the General Fund.
- Public safety roles within the Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Communications are excluded.
- Hiring processes in NEOGOV that are already underway may continue.
- No new requisitions/positions will be posted through the end of the fiscal year (June 30, 2026).
We are seeing increased costs across the organization due to inflation and other economic factors. This temporary hiring pause is a proactive measure to manage expenses and ensure we are well-positioned as we approach the next fiscal year, which begins on July 1, 2026. This is a short-term step focused on maintaining the County’s overall financial stability while continuing to deliver essential services to our community.
If you have questions, please speak with your director or Management Team representative.
Thank you for your continued dedication to serving our community.
Brian Matthews, Patrick Niland, Clayton Voignier
