Keep the following dates in mind regarding varying paycheck amounts during the month of July.
- Premium deductions for 2025-2026 benefit elections began on the July 3 pay date.
- Phase III compensation adjustments will begin for eligible employees on the July 17 pay date.
- Three pay dates occur in July. Certain benefit deductions or payments will not occur on the third pay date resulting in a different pay amount for the July 31 pay date.
It’s been a busy time for benefits! Review a few reminders to assist with the transition.
- Present your new cards or information to your provider at your next medical, dental or pharmacy visit. Need your new cards? Use these resources to request cards.
- BCBS Medical/Pharmacy Card – log in to the Blue Cross site at mycreatehealth.com and choose the ID Cards icon to print/download or request cards.
- Sun Life Dental Card – download a dental ID card using these instructions. Physical ID cards will be mailed and should be arriving soon.
- Flexible Spending Account Cards have been mailed and should be received soon.
- Create accounts for vendor portals to view benefits, interact with representatives, locate resources and information.
Effective July 1, Health Equity is the new administrator of the flexible spending account (FSA) plan. Participants are able to manage their accounts at www.healthequity.com. New debit cards have been mailed and may now be used. Additional information on Health Equity can be found on County Connect.
Inspira will continue to manage the 2024-2025 FSA plan. You can use your 2024-2025 FSA funds for expenses incurred through September 15. Your Inspira debit card will remain active. Reimbursement requests can be filed until September 30.

In an effort to streamline the hiring process, County management recently approved a change to the job posting process. Vacant position postings will no longer require a five-day internal-only posting period, unless specifically requested by the department. Vacant positions will now be posted for external and internal applicants at the same time.
The Variable Co-Pay Program (VCP) is a specialized program available through the pharmacy benefit plan administered by Liviniti. The plan offers potential savings on certain brand and specialty medications by using manufacturer provided coupons. If you are taking a medication on the VCP drug list, you may be contacted to enroll in this mandatory program that became effective July 1, 2025.

July Webinar Opportunity
The July webinar addresses Communication in High Pressure Situations.
Participants will learn:

Here is what you can expect:
- Center is open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and closed from noon - 1 p.m. daily.
- If you are unable to schedule a same-day or next-day appointment online, call 980-993-9140 to check availability for a walk-in appointment.
- Up to 30-minute visits with providers for typical visits.
- Same or next day appointments for primary care or sick visits.
- Behavioral health services will be available soon. Once available, appointments will be offered all day on Tuesdays, Wednesday mornings, and Thursday afternoons.
- An initial physical exam is not required to establish patient care at the center.

It is crucial to designate beneficiaries for your retirement accounts, such as 401(k) and LGERS, to ensure your assets are distributed according to your wishes. Primary and contingent beneficiaries can be listed on both accounts. Out of date or missing beneficiary information can be devastating to your loved ones - check today and update if needed!
Log into your ORBIT Account to update beneficiaries for the LGERS account.
Log into your EMPOWER Account to update beneficiaries for the 401(k) account.
Attaining professional certifications is career achievement worth recognizing! A new process for certification acknowledgement and pay became effective July 1. Full policy details can be found in the Administrative Policy Manual. Additional resources are available on County Connect that include a list of approved certifications and associated bonus amounts and a submission form for directors to request additional certifications in the future. Moving forward, approved and obtained certifications will be paid as a one-time bonus in the amount associated with the certification in the approved certification listing.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TRADITIONAL HEALTH PLAN MEMBERS
If you were enrolled in the Traditional health plan option (non-Marathon Health direct primary care members) during the July 2024 – June 2025 plan year, a new process will affect your remaining HRA balance effective July 1, 2025. If a claim incurred from July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025, has not been processed by Marpai by June 30, 2025, and you have not exhausted your HRA funds, you will need to seek direct reimbursement of HRA funds through our benefit consultant team, McGriff. Review the details on how to review your HRA balance and submit claims for reimbursement of these funds.
