Public Input on Street Names in Waxhaw

Question Marks on Street Names

The Town of Waxhaw and Union County are requesting public input to help select names for a series of new and revised roads in the vicinity of N.C. 75 and Helms Road. These road changes are occurring due to a North Carolina Department of Transportation project to extend the railroad siding and add a bridge over N.C. 75 to improve safety and mobility in the area. For more information and a link to the online survey, visit the county website.

Winter Clothing Drive

The City of Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center is hosting a Winter Clothing Drive throughout November to fill the immediate needs of our community. Help local families by donating new or gently used winter clothing including coats, gloves, mittens, hats, and socks of all sizes. Donations will be distributed to local agencies to benefit those who need warmth. Donations can be dropped into bins in the main lobby of the Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center.
