Cane Creek Park Hours Changing

Starting Monday, Oct. 7, Cane Creek Park hours will be changing to 7 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Cane Creek Hiking Club

Join The Cane Creek fall hiking club every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. for a 3-5 mile hike with staff and other avid hikers! Fresh fruit, granola bars, and fun community are all included. 

Free Mosquito Larvicide

It's important to remember that standing water can lead to an increase in mosquitoes. To help protect your family and community, we are offering free mosquito larvicide to prevent mosquito breeding in areas of standing water. Stop by the Environmental Health office, on the ground floor of the Government Center during regular business hours to pick up your free larvicide, while supplies last.

Sunflower

Have you seen these protected sunflowers here at Cane Creek Park? These unique and federally-protected plant species known as Schweinitz's sunflowers grows in a five-acre preserve known as the Andre Michaux Prairie Restoration Site. Visitors at Cane Creek can see the flowers by walking, biking, or riding horses on the trails leading to the preserve. Read more about these rare flowers.
