Avoid Bug Bites

While summer is great for adventures in the outdoors, it's important to protect yourself from bug bites - especially ticks and mosquitos that can carry Lyme disease and West Nile virus. Be sure to use insect repellent, wear long sleeves and pants if in wooded or grassy areas, and perform regular tick checks after outdoor activities. Click here to learn more about tick prevention.

Secure Firearms

If you own firearms, please follow these essential tips to keep everyone safe:
1. Unload your gun when it's not in use.

2. Be sure to lock up your firearm(s) so children and teens cannot access it. For an additional layer of safety, lock up and store ammunition separately.

3. To prevent theft, do not leave firearms unsecured in your parked vehicle.
