Waxhaw

Independence Day Celebration Parade

This Fourth of July, the Town of Waxhaw will have more than 50 parade floats, including Uncle Sam and grand marshal David Godfrey, in its hometown holiday parade. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. on July 4 in the downtown Waxhaw area. Since parking on the parade route is unavailable, shuttles will run every 30 minutes from designated locations.

Indian Trail

July 4 Parade

The Town of Indian Trail continues an annual tradition with a parade decked out in red, white and blue. The parade travels down Indian Trail Road on July 4, at 11:30 a.m., starting at Post Office Drive and will end at Old Monroe Road. Festivities will continue until 1 p.m.

Fourth of July Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in Downtown Monroe! Activities include bounce houses, food and live music, starting at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dark.

Supplies and Splash

Join Stallings Parks and Recreation for their Supplies and Splash event on Saturday, July 13. All donations made during this event will go directly to the Stallings Police Department's Back to School Bash. For more information, visit the Facebook event page

Young Master Chefs Mini Camp

Young Master Chefs Mini Camp

This hands-on mini camp from Waxhaw Parks and Recreation is a blend of learning and tasty fun! This will offer young chefs, ages 6-12, the opportunity to explore the art of cooking. Each day, we will teach new recipes, play games, create artwork, discuss nutrition, and share plenty of fun laughs and tasty treats! This camp will take place from July 16-18. Supersize IT

Park Passport Program

Celebrate Parks & Recreation Month

Park Map Passport

This July, Union County residents and visitors alike are invited to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and the joy of outdoor activities with its Park Passport Program.

The Park Passport Program encourages participants to visit 10 designated parks across Union County throughout the month - using either a digital or physical passport - for a chance to win a prize.

Pop-Up Programs at Cane Creek Park

Come out to Cane Creek Park for our seasonal Pop-Up programs.

Archery 101

Join our staff as we teach basic archery shooting skills and allow you to practice in a safe environment with a USA Archery-certified instructor.

Stand-Up Paddle Boarding 101

Join our staff as we teach basic paddling skills and allow you to paddle in a supervised area of the lake.

Kayaking 101

Join our staff as we teach basic kayak paddling skills and allow you to paddle in a supervised area of the lake.

For dates and times of these Pop-Up sessions, visit Cane Creek's website. First-come, first-served basis. Average 15-minute sessions. Ages 8 and older. On-site waivers are required.
