Directors and Supervisors,
Did you know that Gen Z’s will make up 27% of Union County’s employee population within the next two years? Did you know that millennials and Gen Z already make up almost 50% of Union County’s workforce?
Learning about these generations is important to understanding and leading them.
We're excited to offer the final Invest in Yourself speaker event this fiscal year on Thursday, March 14, at 10 a.m. Directors and Supervisors are invited to the event at the Sheriff's Office Administration Building in the Eddie Cathey Community Room to hear from author, professor and researcher Dr. Santor Nishizaki, who will share expertise to help us increase our generational awareness. The more we learn to understand these groups, the better we can recruit them, retain them, communicate with them, and engage them.
This in person event has limited seating. Following the hour-long speech, attendees are invited to stay for a meet-and-greet with Dr. Nishizaki. Refreshments will be provided. For supervisors interested in touring the new Sheriff's Office Administration building, a link will be sent to everyone who enrolls; although the tour can accommodate approximately 20 individuals.
General government directors and supervisors should register via NEOGOV. Sheriff's Office supervisors may register via SignUpGenius.
We are investing in you and your professional development. Take advantage of this opportunity to invest in yourself!
