County Manager Rescinds Stage 1 Water Use Restrictions
Union County Manager Brian Matthews has rescinded the previously implemented Stage 1 water restriction plan as a result of recent substantial rainfall across the region.
Due to regional drought conditions last fall, Union County has been in a heightened state of water conservation since November 2023. At that time, Matthews directed staff to implement Stage 1 of water use restrictions as described in the county’s Water Shortage Response Plan. On Jan. 22, 2024, Matthews directed staff to shift back to Stage 0 of water conservation restrictions. Read the full story on our website.
