Cane Creek Campground to Close Temporarily for Safety Maintenance
Jan. 16-25, 2024
Guests of the Cane Creek Park Campground, including the family camping area, wilderness camping, group camping and rustic cabins, must vacate the premises by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16. We apologize for any inconvenience, but the campground is undergoing maintenance and will be closed from Wednesday, Jan. 17 through Thursday, Jan. 25.
The campground is undergoing necessary safety maintenance, which will include:
- Cutting dead trees that can be potentially hazardous.
- Removing branches from any standing or falling trees.
- Adding gravel to level the campsites.
- Any sewer, electrical and water maintenance will be conducted during this time if needed.
Guests may return at the normal check-in time of 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work to enhance the safety of the campground for all guests.

Senior Games
Individuals aged 50 and over are welcomed to participate in the 2024 Senior Games. The senior games began in 1983 with a vision to create a year-round health promotion and wellness education program for adults over 50.
Registration begins in January and the games will begin in March. A few events offered are: bowling, canasta, swimming, golf, cornhole, cycling, pickleball, table tennis, SilverArts, and so many more! To register, visit North Carolina's Senior Games website.

Cane Creek Campground & Shelter Reservations
Reservations for Cane Creek Campground and Cane Creek shelter reservations will begin online starting at midnight on Jan. 1, 2024.
You can make reservations over the phone starting Jan. 2, at 8:30 a.m.
