Nutrition Coordinator Receives Lifesaver Award for Saving Choking Client

Lifesaver Award Kenneth Prusiensky

Congratulations to Community Support & Outreach employee Kenneth Prusiensky for receiving the Lifesaver Award for helping a senior adult who was choking.

On Wednesday, Sept. 27, Kenneth was filling in for a site manager at the Indian Trail senior meal site. He noticed a client was choking, and he rushed over to perform abdominal thrusts. He was able to successfully dislodge the food particle and clear the upper airway, allowing the client to breathe again.
