Colleagues,
I am excited to share an update on our organization's leadership structure. As you know, Assistant County Manager Patrick Niland and Interim Assistant County Manager Clayton Voignier have been serving alongside me on the Management Team. They have demonstrated exceptional performance, and I believe their continued leadership will enable us to build on the momentum and positive strides we have achieved so far. After careful consideration and witnessing the positive impact of recent interim changes, I have decided to make those changes permanent.
I am pleased to share that effective immediately, Patrick Niland will serve as Deputy County Manager and Clayton Voignier will serve as Assistant County Manager. This structure has been working well for the past several months, so I will not be hiring an additional Assistant County Manager. With these changes now permanent, some departments will report to a different member of the Management Team as we work to best align services and support. We have updated the organization chart reflecting these changes, which you can view here.
Additionally, we are recruiting for two director positions to further strengthen our organization: a Security Director and Strategy & Innovation Director. These roles will be pivotal in overseeing critical aspects of our organization.
While all of these changes represent a significant step forward for us, we also want to emphasize our commitment to continuous improvement. As we move forward, we will periodically reevaluate our long-term leadership plan to ensure we are providing the best support for all departments.
Thank you for your hard work, dedication and contributions to this organization. Together, we make a real difference in the lives of Union County residents.
Please join me in congratulating Patrick and Clayton on their permanent positions.
Sincerely,
