Colleagues,
At last night's Board of Commissioners meeting, the Board voted to adopt my proposed budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. An overview of the adopted budget will soon be posted on our website.
As I previously shared in my email a few weeks ago, the budget maintains our current services, with additional funding targeted at specific areas of community importance. It focuses on public health and safety, the opening of a new library, as well as maintaining a strong commitment to education, all while maintaining a balanced budget with no tax rate increase.
The Management Team will now work closely with the Budget and Finance departments to prepare for the upcoming fiscal year. If you have questions about your department's budget, please contact your department director.
Thank you for all you do to provide excellent service and support to our residents. I am approaching the new fiscal year with a renewed sense of pride in our organization and the valuable services and programs we provide, and that would not be possible without each of you.
