Safe Kids Day

Safe Kids Day

Safe Kids of Union County is hosting a "Safe Kids Day" on Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Come out to Southern States in Monroe for information about bike safety, fire safety, car seat safety, 911 education, medicine storage and disposal, and much more! There is no cost to attend.

Spring Festival

Marshville Parks and Recreation is hosting their Inaugural Spring Festival on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Come out to Marshville Municipal Park for food, vendors, live music, activities and more!

Movie Night

Maverick

In partnership with Union County Parks and Recreation, the town of Wesley Chapel is hosting a movie night on Friday, May 26. Bring a chair or blanket for the showing of "Top Gun Maverick." The movie will begin at dusk. 

Memorial Day Ceremony 

Memorial Day Ceremony

The Town of Waxhaw will be having a Memorial Day Ceremony to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Visit the Community Corner in downtown Waxhaw on Monday, May 29, at 10 a.m. to participate in the ceremony.

Cane Creek Activity Hours

Pedal Boats and Mini-Golf course at Cane Creek Park will be open weekends only starting May 6, from noon to 5 p.m.

StoryWalk

Enjoy the StoryWalk on the Trail at Cane Creek Park

In an effort to promote literacy and physical activity, we have teamed up with Union County Library to offer a StoryWalk at Cane Creek Park

The StoryWalk is free and open to the public during park hours. Visitors can expect new stories along the trail in the future, providing a fresh and fun experience for all ages. 

If you visit Cane Creek Park often, consider an annual pass. For more information, call 704-283-3885. Annual passes can be purchased at the front office.
