Free Income Tax Preparation

Get Help Preparing Your Income Tax Return

Don't let the burden of filing your income tax return overwhelm you. We have volunteers who have been certified by the Internal Revenue Service and will prepare federal and state income tax returns for eligible residents at no cost between Feb. 1 - April 17, 2023. More details, including eligibility requirements, can be found on our website.

NCDOT Public Meeting:
Widening of Old Monroe Road

The N.C. Department of Transportation will host a public meeting on Thursday, Feb. 2 from 5-7 p.m. about the proposed widening of Old Monroe Road from Morningside Lane to Wesley Chapel Road.

This informal, drop-in style public meeting will provide an opportunity to review the proposed plans, ask questions, and provide comments. For more information, visit NCDOT's website

Medicare 101 Presentation

Learn about Medicare and its various plans from the Council of Aging Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program Coordinator on Thursday, Feb. 2, at 3 p.m. at the Union West Regional Library in Indian Trail.

This presentation is open to anyone new to Medicare or interested in learning more about it.
