Waxhaw Parks and Recreation is hosting a skate night on Friday, Sept. 9 from 5 - 7 p.m. All ages are welcome to come out with either their skateboard or scooter and compete for titles such as best flip, best wipeout, best overall, coolest board, and more! Register now on Waxhaw's website.

The Town of Waxhaw will be having their annual Patriot Day ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 8 - 9 a.m. The event will take place in downtown Waxhaw at the Military Wall of Honor. Visit their website for more information regarding this event.

Hits After 6

Indian Trail Parks and Recreation is hosting a "Hits After 6" event. Come out to Chestnut Square Park on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 6 - 9 p.m. and enjoy a free concert, bounce house, face painting, and yard games! Visit their website for more information

Indian Trail Movie Night 

Sing 2

In partnership with Union County Parks and Rec., Indian Trail is hosting a movie night on Friday, Sept. 23. Come out to Chestnut Square Park at 6 p.m. for some crafts and family fun. Be sure to bring a chair or blanket for the showing of "Sing 2" at dusk. Visit their website for more information.

Wesley Chapel Movie Night

The Bad Guys

In partnership with Union County Parks an Rec., Wesley Chapel is hosting a movie night on Friday, Sept. 30 at the Wesley Chapel Town Hall. Be sure to bring a blanket or chair for the showing of "The Bad Guys" at dusk. Food trucks will be available.

Community Extras

Cane Creek Beach & Activity Hours 

This is a reminder that Saturday, Sept. 3 will be the last day the beach will be open for the 2022 year.

Pedal boats and mini golf will remain open on weekends, staff availability permitting.

Tackle Loaner Program

Cane Creek Park is in partnership with The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission to allow first-time and novice anglers in North Carolina to borrow rods and reels free of charge.
