Waxhaw Awarded Grant For Downtown Park Project

The Town of Waxhaw has been awarded $425,000 from the N.C. Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF). The town received the grant money for Phase II of the Waxhaw Downtown Park project. 

Waxhaw Parks & Recreation Director Dena Sabinske said, “The PARTF grant will help with supplementing the cost of these awesome amenities like an interpretive nature playground, interactive water play, sport multi-use court, multi-purpose pavilion, small gathering pod areas, amphitheater, and walking paths.”

Virtual Disc Golf Tournament

Union County is partnering with Stallings, Indian Trail and South Piedmont Community College to bring you a FREE virtual disc golf tournament circuit.

Union County Fishing Tournament

Tommy Taylor Fishing

Union County Parks and Recreation is hosting its 6th annual Tommy Taylor Fishing Tournament on October 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cane Creek Park. 

The deadline for the $40 early bird registration is October 22.
