The Town of Indian Trail is kicking off in-person events again with an Independence Day parade on July 3! Celebrate in downtown Indian Trail starting at 11:30 a.m. Bring your chairs, blankets and keep physical distance from others when possible. For more information, click here.

Unionville Celebration

The Town of Unionville will be hosting its 60th July 4th Celebration" on July 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Highlights include various musicians, a parade, barbeque, and classic car, truck and antique tractor shows. For a full line up, check out the event website.

Monroe Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day with the City of Monroe on Sunday, July 4. Find your favorite summer treat from one of the food vendors and enjoy the amusement rides beginning at 4:30 p.m. Carolina Soul Band, sponsored by Union County Community Arts Council, hits the stage at 7:00 p.m. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. For more details, click here.

Movie Night in Monroe

Join Union County and City of Monroe Parks and Recreation at Belk Tonawanda Park on July 30 for the outdoor movie "Sonic The Hedgehog". This free event will begin at 7:30 p.m. with music, food trucks and games. Showtime will begin at 8:45 p.m. Click here for updates on this event.


Union County Special Events Center

Special Events Center Opening 

Save the date to celebrate the opening of the Union County Special Events Center on July 23 and 24! The newly-constructed center is behind the Agricultural Center, on the property of Jesse Helms Park. Join Union County Parks and Recreation and the Cooperative Extension for opening weekend festivities that include food trucks, a bounce house, movie night, a band, fireworks, and much more! More details will be announced soon on the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
