The First Cane Creek Park Virtual Fishing Tournament yielded huge results! 

17 and Under Age Group 
1st Place - Matt Dotson - 8.32 lbs Catfish
2nd Place - Mason McCarver - 7.36 lbs Catfish
3rd Place - Tod Burns - 5.74 lbs Catfish

18 and Older Age Group
1st Place - Jason Newell - 7.97 lbs Carp

Running out of things to do with your children? Each kit includes a project, crafts, small toys, & a letter from our staff. Activities range from space mission, nature exploration, and mad scientist experiments, to embracing your inner artist! Our Kits4Kids boxes promote learning all while having FUN! Pre-registration links will be posted on Stallings Parks and Recreation's Facebook Page twice a month!


I.T.'s Adventures in a Box

IT Adventure in a box

Each week, the Indian Trail Parks & Recreation Department is creating a themed “Adventure in a Box.” Each box contains 4-7 activities for kids to have lots of fun completing.

Each box is only $10 and contains ALL the instructions and materials needed to complete the projects.

To register your child, visit their website or call 704-821-8114. The week of the program, you can pick-up the Program Box kit at Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call ahead and they will bring IT out to you!


Waxhaw New Signage

New Signage in Waxhaw Parks

Visit the Carolina Thread Trail Suspension Bridge with new wayfinding signs to help you along your adventure! New signs at Waxhaw parks and playgrounds also inform visitors how to play safe while having fun.

Meet Stallings' newest Park and Recreation Staff member!

Eunice McSwain is the Special Events Coordinator for Stallings Parks and Recreation. She is an Appalachian State University graduate who loves photography, playing outside & traveling. Eunice lived in Australia for 6 months studying Recreation Management and has worked in a recreation department since she was 15 years old!
