The division of District and Regional Support within the Office of Educational Equity is excited to announce the Spring 2022 School Improvement Planning & NCStar Professional Development series! The training will be offered in eight different locations across the state (see bullets below). Depending on your knowledge of NCStar, you may register for one or both days of this statewide PD. These sessions will cover the same material and all the new resources shared during the Fall 2021 and Winter Virtual sessions.
Day 1: Participants will learn about school improvement using NCStar and how to navigate the platform to assess, create and monitor school-based practices. Participants will also learn components of the Success Cycle to create a robust continuous improvement process.
Day 2: In the morning, participants are given the opportunity to learn about best practices for school improvement teams, including effective forms of distributive leadership and the critical role that SIT leaders and committees play in moving the school achievement needle forward. In the afternoon, the PD will focus on performance measures that target achievement of a school improvement goal!
