ExC-ELL Training on Saturday
This is a 2-day training on ExC-ELLerating Language, Literacy, and Content for ALL Learners.
Participants will discover a valuable set of resources and practical tools that encourage individualized instruction, accelerate language, literacy, and knowledge base while learning and developing social skills. This approach to literacy development promotes collaboration among teachers and administrators to ensure that reading and comprehension become a strong foundation for further educational building blocks in the content area.

Facilitating Academic Discourse Strategies for Social Studies (FADS for SS) on Saturday FADS for SS will allow participants to engage in and plan strategies which promote discourse in social studies classrooms. These meaningful hands-on activities are based on best practices for teaching English Learners and will be linked to building background, providing comprehensible input and strategies for interaction. During this two-day training (16 hours), participants will infuse Academic Discourse Strategies into their social studies lessons and also strengthen their NCEES evaluations for working with diverse learners, leadership and more! Participants will also have an assignment to complete between sessions (4 hours).
