Discover Schoolnet
Although we did not have a
"“Wired
Wednesday” last week, we are in full conference mode with
Schoolnet well represented in the Home Base Symposium as well as NCTIES!
If you missed any of the symposium sessions, you can find a link to the
presentations here http://www.nc-sis.org/symposium_presentation_17.html
Also, don’t forget to visit
your NC:
Home Base Schoolnet Professional Learning Plan for
resources to help with Schoolnet usage. Our next scheduled webinar is Mar 29. Use this time to catch up on
past webinars, training materials and acclimate yourself to our new 18.1
release. Remember to check the splash for updates and submit concerns to your
district representative if a helpdesk ticket is required.
Quick Tips
Classrooms for Teachers
Do you
need to know if students have mastered a standard you have assessed several
times in this school year? In the Standards Performance section of the Classrooms
tab, you can select multiple sections or student groups, then multiple test
in a subject area to compare. With this tool you can see how student are
performing over time by objective. Don’t forget to drill down to the
sub-objective by clicking the objective for more details.
Classrooms for Leadership
In the
Standards Performance section of the Classrooms, you will also notice
you can see the same teacher data. This can be a great resource for helping
teachers define what standards to reteach!
Upcoming Professional
Learning
Check with your district
level Schoolnet lead (click here). They
will determine if they have the staff to provide the professional learning or
if they need to request a district training. If the lead can host a district
training, please have them contact a DTL Regional Consultant for more details.
