 Drawing – Drawing and Learning from Nature Age: 10-16yrs.
Botanical illustration is a powerful tool for developing visual communication
skills and creative thinking that improve scholastic performance in any
discipline. Drawing and Learning from Nature introduces participants to drawing
and observational skills and provides exposure to themes of natural science.
Designed for enthusiasts with little to no artistic training, this six-session
beginner's course reinforces art and science education in school in a fun
outdoor setting. Each class is designed to build upon the previous one, and
will be held indoors and outdoors to accommodate weather conditions. Students should
bring a blanket, towel or portable chair. Preston Montague instructs.

nature's design. Whether for scientific exploration, self-expression, or both,
botanical illustration gives us an opportunity to document those moments in
nature that inspire us. The Nature of Drawing introduces participants to the
observation skills and drawing techniques necessary to visualize the plants and
animals that nourish our love for nature. Designed for enthusiasts with little
to no artistic training, this six-session beginner's course will provide a
foundation for visual representation in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. Each
class is designed to build upon the previous one, and will be held indoors and

Photography Age: 12-16yrs. Expand your photography knowledge beyond selfies on
your phone. This beginning primer teaches the basics of digital photography.
Teens will learn basic photo techniques, the fundamental controls of the
camera, when to take the reins, and when to let the camera do its thing. Bring
a DSLR camera or a point-and-shoot with manual aperture and shutter speed
controls. Eric Krouse instructs.
