Beware the Ides of March - Rexrode

Join us in celebrating 30 years of great art at the Block Gallery! Surface Matters launches our 2014 exhibition series with an opening reception this Thursday, February 6 from 5-7pm.

Artists Cindy MorefieldJoyce Watkins King and Stacy Bloom Rexrode enliven the gallery walls and create a heightened sensory experience for the viewer through highly textured surfaces. Artist Ross Ford's iterative work is featured in the first of our year-long Case Study series, a new initiative that provides a public platform for installation artists.

We hope to see you there!

Wilders Grove Open House

Many thanks to all who attended our open house at Wilders Grove! Several dignitaries were on hand to help celebrate the unveiling of the artwork by Matt McConnell, William Lee Cherry and Marc Russo, including Mayor Pro Tem John Odom, Councilor Eugene Weeks and former mayor Charles Meeker. Many of the 200+ volunteers who helped create the art were with us, enjoying coffee, muffins and a special thank you gift from the artists. Would you like to see the artwork for yourself? Stop by during the week!
