The Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources
Department is kicking off the master plan phase to develop a new park at the
intersection of Sierra Drive and Lineberry Drive. We want
your input and involvement for planning the park.
City
Staff will be present at the Southwest Citizen’s Advisory
Council on August 12 at 7pm at the Carolina Pines Community Center to introduce:
- the Project Team,
- the master planning process for this future park, and
- upcoming opportunities
for citizen involvement.
The team will also share the results of the System
Integration Plan, which provides:
- an overview of the condition of the property
(vegetation, lot size, and drainage),
- addresses safety, environmental and
property issues, and
In addition to this meeting, a Community Survey is available
online at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SierraLineberrySurvey
The community survey provides an opportunity for you
to share your thoughts and comments on park development. The survey
takes approximately
10 minutes and will remain open until August 31.
Survey results
will inform the master plan for park
development and provide
detailed recommendations for the site which is currently a vacant lot.
The master plan plan
is expected to be complete by spring 2015.
