The Raleigh Police Department, Wake County Sheriff’s Office, and members of the Federal Protective Services responded just after 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, to reports of a shooting outside the Old Wake County Courthouse (300 Fayetteville St).

When officers arrived, they found two victims and immediately took the suspect into custody.

There is no ongoing threat to the community. All three people involved are believed to be connected by a civil court case that was scheduled for today (Friday).

Both Wake County courthouses are closed for the rest of the day.

This incident is under investigation.
