Raleigh Trolley Celebrates Black History Month

Mordecai Historic Park

Celebrate Black History Month on this special trolley tour around Raleigh highlighting the downtown area's African American heritage. Tour route includes historic homes, schools, churches, and business areas important to Raleigh's African American heritage. The trolley departs from Mordecai Historic Park and lasts approximately one hour with tours at 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm.

4th Annual African American History Symposium

Join us on Feb. 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. for the fourth annual African American History Symposium at the City of Raleigh Museum. This event will explore the transformation from slavery to freedom through two lectures. This event is free and open to the public. Do something different this Valentine's Day at Pullen Park Amusements! Enjoy a day full of fun and romantic activities. Come and play the newlywed game on our event lawn at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to win cute prizes. Dance with your loved one at our romantically decorated island gazebo on the lake from 4 to 6 p.m. Craft adorable Valentine's Day cards in the carousel and a take a ride on Cupid's train around the park. Pullen Place Café will also be offering a variety of sweet treats for purchase to enjoy throughout the day. 


When: Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Cost: Normal ticket costs for the train and carousel at $1.50 and food for purchase

Registration is not required and entrance to the event is free.

Yoga at Museum

The City of Raleigh Museum will offer free yoga classes in February! The classes are taught by instructors from local yoga studios & are held in the main gallery of the museum. Be sure to bring your own mat & water! Limited space is available, so please arrive early! Spots are given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
