New Temporary Traffic Pattern

Starting Friday, March 10, Hillsborough Street will have a new temporary traffic pattern. Traffic will be diverted on both the north and the south sides of the street incorporating a middle lane closure between the Digitz Building and Cup a Joe. The center lane closure is required while construction crews install the new sanitary sewer main in that location.

On Thursday, March 9, a full nighttime detour will be in place while the new traffic pattern is put into place.

Westbound through traffic will be detoured to Brooks Avenue to Wade Avenue to Faircloth Street, and eastbound traffic will be detoured to Faircloth Street to Wade Avenue to Brooks Avenue.

The street is open to local traffic, and businesses along the Hillsborough Street corridor that are open during this time of night are accessible throughout the detour.
