New Hanover County Fire Rescue to hold Community Meetings

(New Hanover County) - In March, New Hanover County received notification from the North Carolina Department of Insurance of the State Fire Marshal of an improvement in the fire district’s rating. The Southern New Hanover County Fire District received a 4 rating, while the Northern Fire District received a 4/9E rating.
New Hanover County Fire Rescue will host a series of community informational meetings to discuss the new insurance district's rating, the rating process and the potential financial savings homeowners may be eligible to receive. The community meetings will also provide residents the opportunity to discuss fire safety information and tour the station.
