Cumberland County Schools Empowers Families with Educational Choice
CCS to Host Choice Fair
Fayetteville, N.C. – Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is committed to providing tailored educational opportunities for every child, recognizing that each student possesses unique interests and learning styles. To help families make informed choices about their children's education, CCS is hosting a Choice Fair.
CCS' Choice Fair 2023 will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at E.E. Smith High School from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The morning kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a meeting for parents of eighth-grade students who attend Fort Liberty's Albritton Middle School. Starting at 9 a.m., principals and academy directors will be available to provide information and answer questions about CCS' Choice Programs.
This event is designed to empower parents and guardians with the information they need to make the best educational choices for their children. Families are able to explore a variety of Choice Programs available for elementary, middle and high school students. Choice Programs within CCS are themed educational concepts implemented at select schools across the district. These programs include focus areas such as science, arts and culture, technology and real-world career experiences.
The application period for CCS Choice Programs for the 2024-2025 school year is Monday, November 27, 2023, through Thursday, February 1, 2024. Families are encouraged to explore specific programs and access the CCS Choice Program Guide by visiting www.choice.ccs.k12.nc.us .
Cumberland County Schools is dedicated to ensuring that families have the power of choice in education, giving every student the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
