2024 Beginning Teacher of the Year Finalists Announced by 
Cumberland County Schools

Fayetteville, NC - Cumberland County Schools recently announced its
2024 Beginning Teacher of the Year Finalists.They are as follows:

Elementary School Level
Hallie Ross at Howard Hall Elementary School

Jazzlyn Ford at Alderman Road Elementary School

Crystal Wood at Mary McArthur Elementary School

Secondary School Level 
Kenneth Teal at Mac Williams Middle School

Courtney Jacobs at Douglas Byrd Middle School

Crystal Butler at Cumberland Academy 6-12 Virtual School

Sade Mangum at Seventy-First High School
 

During the school district's Convocation on August 15, Cumberland County Schools'
2024 Beginning Teacher of the Year winner will be announced in front of the district's more than 6,000 employees.
