In order to meet EPA requirements, the State of North
Carolina is enacting process changes with the renewal of the NCG01. Some
notable changes include:
- Permittees will submit an online Notice of
Intent (NOI) for the State of NC to obtain a project-specific Certificate of
Coverage. The NOI must be submitted prior to any land-disturbing
activity.
- The state will work with delegated authorities
(like the City of Charlotte) to ensure that approved plans meet all applicable
state and federal requirements
- Creation of an additional permit (NCG25) for
construction activities that are not subject to the North Carolina
Sediment and Pollution Control Act of 1973. The new permit is identical to the NCGO1 and was created to provide coverage for Federal projects.

The fall Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control overview seminar and
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Certified Site Inspector (CMCSI) class has been rescheduled from Thursday, October 4, 2018 to Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Mecklenburg County Offices at 2145 Suttle
Avenue, 4th Floor, Charlotte, NC.

are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month in Room 136 of the
Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center (600 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC)
from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
STORM WATER ADVISORY COMMISSION (SWAC) MEETING:
Meetings are typically held on the third Thursday of each month at 4:30 pm at
the Mecklenburg County Offices at 2145 Suttle Avenue, Charlotte, NC.

ADVISORY COMMISSION: Meetings are
typically held on the third Tuesday of every month at the Charlotte Mecklenburg
Government Center (600 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC) beginning at 5:00 pm.
