Grinch Candy Cane Hunt (age 6-12)

 LIMITED SPACES REMAINING!

Saturday, December 10 | 1-2 p.m. 

$10 per child 
Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Kiwanis Shelter 

The Grinch discovered that elves have hidden red and white candy canes along with some specialty canes at one of their favorite places - Bond Park! The Grinch is planning to find all of Santa's candy canes and turn them green. Come help find all the candy canes hidden in the park. Pre-registration Required. Register HERE.


Winter Wonderland in Bond Park

Friday & Saturday, January 27 & 28

Join us in January for snow-tubing in Bond Park. Snow My Yard will blow snow on the big hill for participants to enjoy snow tubing. Snow tubes are provided and weigh about 10 lbs. when inflated.  Pre-registration is required.  Registration for Winter Wonderland and other Winter classes for Cary residents begins on December 5.  (Nonresidents Dec 19)

Little Explorers (age 2-4) Kick start the day with science!  Each week children will explore different science concepts through experiments and observations.  Other skills covered will be writing and reading. December Theme: Snow Birds

Fun-n-Fit, Wobblers (age 10M-2) Parent and child participate in an age appropriate class that enhances social and developmental skills through interactive play. Using half a gym we will enjoy silly songs, pretend play, music, fun activities with balls, slides, tunnels and more.

SPECIAL EVENTS

American Girl Doll Adventures (age 6-10) Share in the American Girl(R) doll experience in this monthly themed class! Make mini-sized arts and crafts for your doll, play era-related games, and share in the fun of our American Girl(R) dolls.  Be sure to bring your doll!

Nutcracker Themed Dance Class (age 3-8)   Travel with Clara through the story of The Nutcracker and dance like the Rat King, Sugar Plum Fairy, and many other Land of Sweets characters. Lots of colorful props; come dressed to dance.

Harry Potter Adventure (age 8-11) Hogwarts in session; If you like Harry Potter, you are going to love this class. Experience the world of wizardry in a fun way. Each class we will work on a magical craft, potions, trivia, transfiguration, wands and more.

NEW MARTIAL ARTS

Tang Soo Do (age 5-17) This program teaches the traditional Korean martial art named Tang Soo Do (Founded by Grandmaster C.S. Kim who instructed Chuck Norris to his first Black Belt).  Class will focus on self-defense, respect, discipline, confidence, fitness, eye-hand coordination and more.  Students are able to test for belts and participate in federation tournaments, seminars, and other events.

Teen Programs

 

Babysitting Safely (age 11-14) Babysitting is serious business and a big responsibility. Be prepared and knowledgeable as an effective babysitter to care for someone else's child. Skills include first aid and safety, CPR overview, how to use an epi-pen, along with understanding developmental stages. Following a written and skills test, participants will receive a completion certificate. Instructor is a registered Pediatric nurse.Must attend both days for certificate.
