TEDRS
Reminder: Certification in the TEDRS system for Course Completion and student Reimbursement Request are due within three days of course completion. When Reimbursement Request is certified on your student list, it sends student numbers to the OPI team. These numbers can then be entered on the overall submitted students list. This list is important as it dictates how many students your school is reimbursed for on the Year End Report.
For questions and guidance for submitting your student lists, reach out to the OPI Traffic Education team.

MVD/CDTP Update
Paperwork deadlines are important. Here is a reminder of important timelines to remember when testing students in driver education.
Students must be 14 years 6 months old to take the written CDTP exam. Students must turn 15 within six months of the course completion. If students are 15 when they take the CDTP test, but fail the driver education course, they keep their permit. If they are 14 1/2 when they test and fail the course, their permit is void.
CDTP written test passed scores are due to the MVD station with a student list and the student's Class D application within three days of testing. Behind the wheel CDTP scores only need to be turned in if the student passes and are being waived in TEDRS. A final student list printed from TEDRS, student passed test scores, and Class D applications must be turned in within three days of course completion. This allows the MVD staff to be able to create student profiles in the system and student data becomes available to all Montana MVD stations and law enforcement.
Contact your local MVD office or the OPI Traffic Education team if you have questions or seek clarification on deadlines.
