 The TSAR Team is excited to share two new podcast episodes this month featuring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons, the power of One Caring Adult, and discussions around Indigenous kinship with Mike Jetty.
This month the TSAR Team accepted a two-year grant award from Headwaters Foundation for $50,000 to help fund the RiSE Summit and support student voice in Montana schools.
We are excited to announce that we have hired a new Tribal Student Achievement Specialist to our team. Welcome to Jen Murphy! She begins December 1st. Jen has an extensive background in trauma engaged facilitation, Native American studies, working with tribal communities around the state and engaging them in meaning full work to support schools, students, families and communities. She worked in the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons movement, is a published author and accomplished photographer. We are very excited at the expertise she will bring to our work and team at the OPI.
The RiSE Summit will be held in Bozeman this year from April 27 to April 29, 2026 on the Montana State University campus. Finally, The TSAR unit has two representatives serving on the Rigorous Action / Intensive Support Task Force.
